EA Systems Dresden GmbH (EASD) is a Dresden-based engineering company specializing in model-based design, simulation and monitoring of complex energy systems. Founded in 2006, EASD has built deep expertise at the intersection of physical simulation, digital twins, and practical energy system engineering — serving municipalities, utilities and industrial customers across Europe.

EASD is the developer of the Blue Energy Library, a Modelica simulation library for distributed energy systems running on Modelon Impact. The library covers heating, cooling, power generation, storage, e-mobility and hydrogen — backed by more than 15 years of hands-on project experience. Beyond the Blue Energy Library, EASD’s product and service portfolio spans three tightly integrated practice areas: consulting for energy system design and model-based optimization, a suite of simulation and planning tools including district heating grid simulation, and technical monitoring solutions including scientific energy monitoring and real-time digital twin platforms.

MBI collaborates with EASD on reselling and deploying the Blue Energy Library within the Modelon Impact ecosystem, and on consulting projects that combine EASD’s deep energy-domain knowledge with MBI’s expertise in model-based design processes and Modelon Impact.
